HEALING THE WARRIOR WAY Through transformative experiences, adventure, and
brotherhood, we aim to empower veterans to reconnect with their warrior spirit and
navigate the challenges of civilian life with resilience and honor.
THE EXPERIANCE
ABOUT the RETREAT
OVERVIEW
Project Combat Leave offers immersive healing experiences tailored to the warrior
spirit. Our flagship retreat in Costa Rica and our canine bonding & training program
both support post-service growth, confidence, and connection.
Project Combat Leave (PCL) helps combat veterans reclaim their strength and
reconnect with who they are through immersive, adventure-based retreats in
Costa Rica. inspired by ancient warrior traditions, our program blends physical
challenge, deep connection, and peer support to offer real healing beyond the
clinical.
We don’t believe healing happens in a clinic—it happens in motion, in nature, and
in connection. At Project Combat Leave, we bring veterans together to challenge
themselves, support one another, and rediscover who they are.
Our signature program brings small groups of combat veterans to Costa Rica for a fully-funded, 7-day experience of adventure-based therapy. Through surfing, hiking, jungle treks, and team challenges, veterans reconnect with their strength and rediscover purpose alongside their brothers and sisters in arms.
- Small groups (5–7 veterans)
- All-inclusive: travel, food, lodging, gear
- Surfing, hiking, zip-lining, and team-building
- Daily challenges and guided reflection
- WhatsApp integration group for post-retreat support
Every retreat is fully funded, so veterans can focus on what matters: healing, growing, and returning home stronger.

WHO WE SERVE
OVERVIEW
Primarily, PCL serves combat veterans who have faced the intensity of
service and are now navigating the transition to civilian life. They seek a
community where they can heal in an environment that honors their
warrior identity.
We know that the first line of defense serving our combat warriors are
family members and friends. There when they return from deployment,
home on leave, or at the end of service, they see changes in their loved
ones and are committed to helping them find a path back to themselves.
Without there support many of our warriors would go unnoticed. We
encourage everyone spreading the word about PCL. We are here to help
veterans rekindle their inner strength and return to their true selves.
- U.S. combat veterans healing from PTSD and trauma
- Veterans transitioning to civilian life
- Warriors seeking renewed strength, confidence, and community
- Those who need a new mission and a renewed sense of self
